These Membership Terms apply to participation in a DoctorsBeyond membership plan and supplement the DoctorsBeyond Terms of Service and Privacy Policy. By enrolling, you acknowledge and agree to these Membership Terms, including the recurring billing and automatic renewal provisions below.
DoctorsBeyond offers Individual and Family membership plans. Current membership pricing, plan eligibility, and applicable benefits are displayed on the Membership page and during enrollment. The membership fee applicable to you will be clearly disclosed before you complete enrollment. DoctorsBeyond may offer additional plans or promotional pricing from time to time.
Membership may provide eligible members with preferred pricing for certain self-pay medical visits, access to eligible virtual urgent care, primary care, and mental health services, day and night provider availability subject to actual provider availability, convenient online scheduling and account management, and eligible dependent benefits under a Family Membership. Membership does not guarantee the availability of a particular healthcare provider or appointment time. Medical visits and certain other healthcare services are charged separately from the membership fee unless expressly stated otherwise. Laboratory testing, imaging, medications, pharmacy charges, specialist services, emergency services, and other third-party services are not included unless specifically stated.
DoctorsBeyond membership is not health insurance and is not a substitute for health insurance. Membership fees are separate from charges for medical services. Insurance coverage, copayments, coinsurance, deductibles, eligibility, and other patient financial responsibility are determined by the patient's health plan. Membership does not guarantee insurance coverage or reimbursement.
YOUR DOCTORSBEYOND MEMBERSHIP AUTOMATICALLY RENEWS EACH MONTH UNTIL YOU CANCEL.
By enrolling, you authorize DoctorsBeyond and its payment processor to automatically charge your selected payment method the membership fee disclosed to you at enrollment on a recurring monthly basis until you cancel. Your renewal date and recurring amount will be shown during enrollment and/or in your account.
Before completing enrollment, you will be shown the applicable membership price, billing frequency, and automatic renewal terms. By affirmatively accepting the recurring payment authorization and completing enrollment, you authorize DoctorsBeyond and its payment processor to charge your selected payment method each billing period until cancellation. This authorization applies to membership charges and does not constitute authorization for unrelated medical services or other charges.
Membership fees do not include medical visits unless expressly stated otherwise. Current member pricing for eligible services will be displayed before booking or otherwise communicated before you incur the applicable charge. Amounts for services billed through insurance may depend on eligibility, coverage, deductible, copayment, coinsurance, and other health-plan requirements.
You may cancel your DoctorsBeyond membership online through your DoctorsBeyond account. Recommended pathway: My Account > Membership > Manage Membership > Cancel Membership. You may also contact DoctorsBeyond Support for assistance. Once cancellation is completed, future membership renewal charges will stop. Unless otherwise required by law, membership benefits may remain available through the end of the current paid billing period. Cancellation does not automatically cancel an already scheduled medical appointment or eliminate amounts already owed for healthcare services. You will receive confirmation when cancellation has been successfully processed.
Membership fees are generally non-refundable once a billing period begins, except when required by applicable law, when a billing error or duplicate membership charge occurs, or when DoctorsBeyond determines that a refund is otherwise appropriate. Cancellation generally prevents future renewal charges but does not result in a prorated refund for the current billing period unless required by law.
If you cancel your membership, you may be permitted to enroll again in the future subject to the membership pricing, eligibility requirements, benefits, and terms in effect at the time of re-enrollment. Any applicable re-enrollment conditions will be disclosed before you complete a new enrollment.
Membership does not guarantee a particular diagnosis, prescription, medication refill, laboratory order, referral, work or school note, or other treatment. All medical decisions are made independently by licensed healthcare professionals based on individual medical circumstances, applicable law, and appropriate standards of care. Prescriptions are issued only when clinically appropriate and legally permitted. Medication and pharmacy costs are not included unless expressly stated otherwise. A healthcare provider may determine that telehealth is not appropriate and recommend in-person, urgent, or emergency evaluation.
DoctorsBeyond may accept eligible insurance plans for covered medical services. Your membership fee is separate from your health insurance premium and any amount you may owe for medical services. Insurance eligibility and benefits are subject to verification. Your actual financial responsibility may vary based on your insurance plan, including applicable deductibles, copayments, coinsurance, non-covered services, and other plan requirements.
DoctorsBeyond may change membership pricing, benefits, or other membership terms prospectively. Any change to the recurring membership fee applicable to an existing member will be communicated in advance as required by applicable law. Price changes will not take effect retroactively. Where affirmative consent is legally required for a change, DoctorsBeyond will obtain that consent before implementing the change.
If DoctorsBeyond is unable to process your recurring membership payment, we may notify you and request that you update your payment method. Membership benefits may be suspended or terminated if payment cannot be successfully processed.
DoctorsBeyond is not an emergency medical service. Do not use DoctorsBeyond for a medical or psychiatric emergency. If you believe you are experiencing an emergency, call 911 or seek immediate care at the nearest emergency department.
